We wanted to take a moment to introduce our patented non-toxic Z-Panels that ensure a safe environment for everyone! It is important that you know what it is made of, and how it is constructed! 

What is The Z Panel?

The Z Panel is a 24-inch tall block-panel that can be stacked up and mechanical interlocks both top to bottom and side-to-side. It consists of hempcrete, which is a combination of hemp shiv, hydrated lime, and water!

Our product uses a proprietary blend of a lime binder. (We use hydrated lime with additives). It performs like hydraulic lime, allowing the product to dry quicker. This protects the structural integrity of the product. 

• Interior of the Z Panel is hempcrete.
• Exterior of the Z Panel is covered with fiber mesh. 
• The fiber mesh has a thin coat of breathable lime plaster.

How The Z Panel Works

The panel sits on the bottom plate of your home-build. There is a recess that allows the Z Panel to sit, and tip onto the bottom plate. 

A recess is a small space created by building part of a wall further back from the rest. The Z Panel will then sit upright, vertically!

This can be secured with:

• 2×6 studs.
• 2×4 studs.
• 8-14 ft tall studs

When assembling, there is an embedded 2×4 piece of wood that allows you to fasten to the stud. The block-panel will then interlock with each other stacking vertically.
